These compositions are used for all kinds of surfaces - cement, limestone, plastered, brick. Completely unsuitable for all types of plastic, natural wood, some types artificial stone. There are two varieties - silicone-silicate and silicate-dispersion.

How to prepare walls for painting

When a wall is painted for the first time, its surface needs to be gradually prepared for this design. What exactly do they do:

It is not advisable to use more than two or three contrasting colors in one room - this greatly overloads the interior, especially in small rooms.

Using stencils

A stencil is an original way to quickly transform any room, as well as:

The finishing goes like this:

• the surface is pre-prepared;
• the walls are covered with paint containing latex;
• the glaze is mixed with latex paint, but the tone is chosen a little darker than the main one;
• covered with the above mixture small area walls, with a suede brush, previously soaked in water, wrung out, and using light touches, brush over the still damp surface, creating smooth decorative stains, removing excess in places;
• when there are lines that are very noticeable, they are blotted with wet suede, cut into pieces, creating a semblance of a surface covered with leather.

A beautiful coating is done step by step and requires some time:

• you will need pearlescent glaze, acrylic primer, vinyl dye in two shades;
• take a paper square from decorative material, a fragment of the wall is smeared to fit its size;
• the leaf is crumpled, applied to the plane, after which it must be smoothed, making a “crumpled” coating;
• Use similar pieces to completely process the entire wall.

Venetian plaster effect

This option is one of the most decorative. It is used in Art Deco, classical, Gothic, etc. interiors. To create a “Venetian”, do the following:

• latex paint is poured into a wide bowl;
• Pigment for paints is sprinkled from one edge, stirring gently with a stick - dark and light parts will come out;
• use a spatula to take a lighter dye and apply it like plaster;
• then a dark composition is applied, part of the wall is covered;
• when dark and light fragments are obtained, they are carefully smeared with a spatula on the surface from side to side so that it turns out beautifully;
