Lunar sowing calendar for June 2017 for gardeners and gardeners with recommendations for every day (supplement)

In the first ten days of the month, you can begin green grafting of grapes. June is also the most auspicious month for collecting medicinal herbs such as: flowers of cornflower, lily of the valley and chamomile, strawberry fruits, nettle and plantain leaves, St. John's wort.

Work in the garden in June to care for fruit trees is carried out as necessary. During this period, they are engaged in the formation of crowns, removing fattening shoots, pinching and bending. Carrying out these procedures contributes to the speedy ripening of fruits and berries. Activities to combat diseases and pests continue. Branches affected powdery mildew must be cut and burned.

In June, trees grow intensively, so regular heavy watering is recommended, especially if the weather is dry. Generous watering prevents premature fruit drop. In June, post-harvest work begins on the strawberry beds (weeding, watering, loosening, removing excess tendrils, fertilizing).

In the garden, work continues on planting seedlings, which began in May. Greenhouses and greenhouses emptied of seedlings are planted with cucumbers and peppers. In June, the planting of seedlings of late cabbage and tomatoes is completed. The first flowers on cucumbers are picked off, giving the plants the opportunity to gain good growth. Watering is carried out warm water, and under no circumstances should water get on the leaves. In June, thin out parsley, carrots and beets. Planted tomatoes, peppers and cabbage are fertilized and watered, tomato bushes are formed, and the shoots are plucked out if necessary. Spraying with ash against cruciferous flea beetle. If the area is empty before winter, it can be sown with legumes and grains; they are an excellent green fertilizer.

At the end of the month, carrots, daikon and radish (for northern regions) are re-sown for winter storage, as well as lettuce, arugula, dill, spinach. Tarragon is planted.

Many modern people They know that the Moon has a huge influence on all processes occurring on our entire planet. Under her “guidance” the ebb and flow of energy flows, it affects a person’s health, mood and stress resistance.

Of course, it has no less effect on plants. Since ancient times, people have noticed a connection between lunar cycles and sowing. And thanks to the knowledge of our ancestors, supported modern science, a lunar sowing calendar for June 2017 was compiled, for every gardener and gardener, which you can see below.

About the lunar sowing calendar for June 2017

It has been observed that different periods of the moon have different effects on the growth and health of the plant. For example, during periods of particular activity (full moon) and, on the contrary, passivity (new moon), it is best to avoid any manipulations with plants, even indoor ones. These days the power of the Moon is especially aggressive: it either completely “takes away” the vital energy of a still fragile plant (in full moon), or it saturates it so much that it simply cannot withstand this strong flow, which disrupts the functioning of the internal processes of the plant. That is why it is so important for a gardener to use a sowing calendar in his work.

It has been noted that the Moon has a particularly beneficial effect on perennials, if you have time to land them in open ground in the growing phase natural satellite Earth. In these favorable days any work in the field, vegetable garden, garden or at home with indoor plants will lead to positive effect: fast and healthy growth. But it is best to plant root crops during periods of the fading lunar phase (see).

  • If, despite the natural fall of the ovaries in June, too many fruits still remain in the crown, they should be thinned out manually. Then those left behind will grow larger and best quality. Leave 2-3 fruits on the fruit bunches of apple and pear trees, remove the smallest and already damaged, twisted, ugly fruits.
  • If birds have chosen your cherries and you are left without a harvest, cover the crown with protective bird nets. This is the most reliable means of crop protection.
  • If your apple tree bloomed profusely, but did not produce a harvest, obviously, for this variety of apple tree to pollinate, it is necessary to have an apple tree of another variety nearby; self-pollination is not enough for it. If there is no room to plant a second tree, graft a cutting (or dormant bud) of another apple-pollinating variety onto your non-bearing tree. Often it is enough to plant one branch of a pollinating variety, preferably in the middle of the crown. Don't miss the budding deadline - from August 10 to early September.
  • If the tree has grown too quickly and is late in bearing fruit, do not apply any more fertilizers or trim the crown. Tie up the fruit branches that grow steeply upward, giving them a more horizontal position. This will slow down the growth of the tree and speed up the onset of fruiting.

At the beginning of the month we continue to sow vegetables and plant seedlings. Considering that the temperatures are already summer, you need to take care of shading the planted seedlings of tomatoes, cabbage, cucumbers, zucchini, pumpkin and other crops for several days.

The beds of carrots and beets for autumn and winter reserves after sowing are mulched with compost, grass, and covered non-woven material. We regularly check that the soil at the sowing depth remains moist at all times. Has it dried out? Carefully pour from a watering can.

It makes sense to hold off on sowing radishes and annual green crops (spinach, arugula, lettuce, etc.): long days and hot weather prevent plants from growing the green mass for which they are cultivated, forcing them to begin flowering at an accelerated pace. Dill can still be sown even at the right time short nights: It won’t grow particularly lush, but it will provide aroma.

It’s not too late to sow early-ripening seeds and mid-season tomatoes so that by autumn you will have tasty fruits for salads, juices and ketchups. Tomatoes without seedlings work well after grain green manure (rye, wheat, oats) incorporated into the soil in the fall. If there is no such area, add humus or compost to the bed before sowing.

In hot weather, seeds will germinate quickly if you ensure constant soil moisture at the seeding depth. Immediately after germination, the seedlings grow root system and therefore they are not developing very quickly, but in July they will catch up.

It is important to thin out the seedlings in time, leaving the strongest plants 50-70 cm apart from each other. We will carry out the first thinning at the stage of one true leaf, the second - when 3-4 leaves appear. If planted sparsely, you can leave not one, but 2-3 plants nearby.

If there is space, excess seedlings can be carefully transplanted. We will provide tomatoes good care: watering, loosening, hilling, treatment against aphids, but we will refuse pinching so as not to cause unnecessary wounds through which infection can be introduced.

If the soil is sufficiently fertilized, we will feed the seedless tomatoes for the first time during the budding period: 0.5-1 liters of organic infusion, 1-1.5 tablespoons of superphosphate (extract) per 10 liters of water.

Cucumbers sown in June will provide a harvest in August. In the summer, it makes sense to sow varieties and hybrids suitable for pickling and canning.
