How to make a gate from sandwich panels. Double-leaf structure made of sandwich panels. Garage door classification

It is best to make sectional garage doors with your own hands, since you should never forget about the proverb as old as time: if necessary quality work, you have to do it yourself. At the moment, many country developers prefer to carry out all work related to own home, personally.

Often suburban area includes not only the house, but also utility rooms, for example, a garage along with a bathhouse, storage room or other buildings of a purely service nature. If we talk about the garage as building structure, then it is worth paying attention to what last years the principle of its construction has changed greatly. In the past, we could have been talking about a simple box, the main purpose of which was to protect vehicles from the weather and thefts. Now we are often talking about a small house, provided with all the comfort requirements for a car owner.

The development process also played a significant role garage doors, since now a lot of options are being produced to replace bulky options alternative options, among which we can note:

  • retractable view,
  • sectional,
  • roller shutter,
  • lift-and-swivel,
  • other rare species.

Each of these options has sufficient indicators of reliability, aesthetics and efficiency, and in addition, they are quite simple, which allows you to create homemade gate, and do not require much space.

If we look at gates as a separate type of product, then the most popular can be called sectional doors for the garage, because to this day they occupy a leading position in sales.

Sandwich panel construction

Creating sectional doors with your own hands is not such a difficult task, since the element itself has a very simple design. It consists of sandwich panels that are connected using hinges and moved using a cable, roller and drum. Such a system can move the structure to the ceiling and down, being mounted on guides.

The production of sandwich panels is carried out in a factory, and they include sheets of galvanized iron, inner space which are filled with sealant. We can talk about polyester or polyurethane. When the gate is closed, the panels themselves also have no contact points, since the gaps are completely covered with cork sheets.

How to make a gate yourself?

To make a garage door you will need: a screwdriver, a tape measure, drills, a hammer drill, a level.

The market value of sectional doors is very high, so quite often craftsmen try to create homemade options, in a personal workshop.

Of course, in practice it turns out that manufacturing parts along with assemblies for gates of this type is a complex and expensive task, but if you use ready-made ones, the craftsman will have to spend much less time.

In this matter, special attention should be paid to the importance of technology, since most often homemade gates are of poor quality, and if the master manages to make such a product work, there will always be a danger that they will fall. In this case, you can damage the car or get hurt yourself.

Tools required for the work:

  • screwdriver;
  • yardstick;
  • drills with pobeditovy nozzle;
  • perforator;
  • installation tool;
  • level.

Most simple option is the purchase of ready-made gates.

There is also a slightly more logical option - this is the purchase of a ready-made disassembled product and self-installation sectional doors. There are no particular difficulties in this task, since in this case the buyer receives an enlarged construction set. Of course, the number of parts here will be quite considerable, so it will take a lot of time to assemble the structure.

In this case, first, vertical and horizontal guides are installed, which are responsible for the movement of the sections. After this, each section is fastened together using hinges. The top panel is laid out last. It should ensure a secure fit to the strip. After this, control mechanisms are installed and that’s it. necessary accessories: locks, handles and others.

At the same time, labor costs will be considerable, since accuracy and correctness of assembly are the key to many years of reliable service. True, in almost every product, manufacturers take care to provide accurate diagrams, thanks to which the installation of sectional doors turns into an easy task.

Installation and assembly of finished gates

So, as already mentioned, homemade gates are not always the best option, since they involve high labor costs and low quality. But if it is possible to buy a disassembled product, you will still be able to work on it yourself.

First of all, the technician needs to clean the opening in which the installation is planned. If it has weak and thin walls, you need to install metal structures, after which calculations are made along with markings. In most cases, we will talk about the places where they are attached bearing structures and where is the installation planned? various kinds fixation profiles.

Particular attention should be paid to the fact that the automatic sectional doors do not allow even a tiny distortion. Therefore, precise alignment of racks and profiles on the plane is required, especially vertically, as well as reliable fastening each of the details. It is necessary to level especially carefully and efficiently load-bearing elements. Pegs made of wood or polyurethane foam- only metal linings that are prepared in advance; in addition, they are prepared with completely different thicknesses.

After installing the load-bearing parts and their reliable fastening, the installation of panels begins, which are laid in the lower part. The sections need to be connected using hinges, after which the top panel is installed, which mandatory adjacent to the strips. For this purpose, the use of upper brackets is required. And then, before installing sectional doors, you need to think about the control mechanism with various kinds of accessories. It is worth trying to properly fix the springs that will balance the structure, and the cables, which should always be tensioned. Next, the electric motor and the limiter are mounted. And when the entire structure has already been fully adjusted, it is checked. To do this, the gate just needs to be opened and closed a couple of times.

If the results do not require significant correction, the fastening units are re-tightened and each part is checked individually, which is especially important in the case of load-bearing structures.

It will be much easier to do all this if you use a special level. This is exactly how sectional garage doors are installed and assembled. This requires quite a lot of time, but at the same time the homeowner gets the opportunity to fully enjoy the process, although one assistant will still be extremely useful.

And with the money saved, it is quite possible to decorate the facade. For example, you can opt not for the usual smooth version of the sections; instead, they can be paneled or wavy. Or the design may have decorative windows, which will not only make it more original, but also provide additional lighting during daylight hours. And knowing the entire design and installation features of the gate, the owner will be able to independently repair and maintain them practically without outside help, although this is the advantage of mainly home-made options.

Swinging gates are rightfully considered the oldest species such structures that have become quite common due to their simplicity and ease of installation. The main thing you should take care of before thinking about how to build swing gates from sandwich panels is the free space required to open the doors.

Design

There are often cases when openwork forged gratings are used to make swinging garage structures. If we talk about the components of this type of gate, then this includes a rigid metal frame, casing, pipe posts measuring 60x30, hinges and a latch.

The metal frame looks like a welded element consisting of a 60x30x2 mm pipe. It also includes a steel frame inside, ensuring strength and preservation of the original shape. The design has pre-thought out the required mortgages needed to fasten the sheathing, as can be seen in the photo.

The frame is designed to fit optimally with the skin, so that the skin and frame form a single unit without any gaps or protrusions. The frames are so versatile that they can fit a variety of skins. If we talk about the angle of swing garage doors, then, as with sliding garage doors, their frame consists entirely of profile pipes measuring 60x30 for the outer contour and 20x40 for the inner frame, where the sheathing material is subsequently attached.

Installation process

Sandwich panels are most often used for lining swinging gates. You can choose the material yourself depending on your financial capabilities:

  • First of all, it is necessary to manufacture and install load-bearing columns. For them, you can use a profile metal pipe, the cross-section of which is 100x100 mm, timber dense appearance wood or concrete, as shown in the photo. They should be concreted, maintaining a depth of more than 1 meter;

  • If you give preference to pillars made of bricks, then be prepared that you will need to concrete the foundation to a depth of more than 1 m and reinforce the foundation and pillar with reinforcement, as can be seen in the photo. Also, do not forget to pull out the small reinforcement from the post, which will later serve to fasten the racks. To concrete the columns you will need concrete, which is made from a cement composition, river sand and crushed stone, the ratio of which should be 1:4. Choose crushed stone of a smaller fraction so that there is less work. After pouring, the post must remain at rest for 7 days before you begin the next operation - installing the gate. While the concrete is hardening, you can start producing the canvas, as shown in the video;

  • At first, try to rid the profiled metal pipes of corrosion traces and various deposits. You will need a grinder with a metal brush. Do not forget about safety glasses so that when interacting with this device you do not end up with metal shavings and scale in your eyes;
  • After cleaning is completed, the pipes are degreased with a solvent, and a primer layer for anti-corrosion, used for enamel paints, is applied to them. It is applied using a pussy or a spray gun. Moreover, it is important to remember that a brush, due to a denser layer of primer spraying, will give a more powerful anti-corrosion ability, and a spray gun will allow you to get excellent appearance. Then the primer should dry.

Welding

The next step is welding the frame of the swinging garage door:

  • This will require profile pipe 60x30x2 mm, with which the sash frame is welded suitable shape. Then it is welded here inner tube with dimensions 40x20x2 mm. In this case, when lining on both sides, a pipe of this size is located in the middle, and when lining on one side with sandwich panels, a pipe of 60x30x2 mm will be required, and it will need to be moved to the edge. The pipe is welded with 2 cm tacks, the distance between them should be 20-25 cm;
  • The swing gate frame is ready. All that remains is the process of grinding the weld seams with a grinder and a grinding wheel, and then the final application of primer to the canvas. Now comes the coloring process alkyd enamels for external processes, which are sold at any construction point of sale. You can paint it either with a brush or with a spray gun.

Stitching

When the paint has completely dried, it’s time to sew up the fabric. This can be made with sandwich panels, sheet steel, forged parts or wood. This process can be considered creative, since this is where you should show all your imagination in order to give the gate individuality, as can be seen in the photo.

The gate leaf is ready, and the concrete of the supports has just fully cured, which indicates that installation can be carried out. If you have metal support columns, then you need to attach the sheet to them by welding. If the pillars are made of bricks or granite, then the hinges are attached by welding to a metal post, which is then attached to the pillars with dowels.

Let's sum it up

By choosing homemade swing gates made from sandwich panels, you will save a lot cash. And although the process of creating such products will take you some time, in the end you will get a gate that you will not find on anyone else around you.

The fence of a household is the “face” of the owners, an indicator of their status and taste, protection from dust, intruders and foreign animals. Gates give guests the first impression of the house, which is why they are always given special significance.

Peculiarities

The design of swing gates has been tested not just over the years - over millennia; most people all over the planet prefer just such gates and deservedly so.

Hinged sashes – simple and convenient system fastening, which solves several problems at once and has a list of undoubted advantages:

  • Simplicity of manufacture and installation, financial affordability allows you to install them yourself.
  • Reliability and durability during use.
  • Versatility - use in almost all types of premises and fences.
  • Variety of design options, wide size range.
  • No mandatory concreting of the surrounding area.

Swing gates During their existence, they acquired a huge variety of both design features both in appearance and design.

Kinds

There are a huge number of varieties of swing gates today, this can be explained rapid development construction technologies, production innovative materials with the necessary technical characteristics, a wide range of textures and extensive color palette, capable of satisfying the most demanding tastes.

They are divided according to the number of valves and can be single-leaf or double-leaf.

They can also have a gate built into one of the doors, this saves space in small spaces(garages, small areas).

If the passage needs to be made wide, then folding gates are used. Their folding doors in half or like an accordion do not block the territory. You can make folded only one of them.

Based on their external design, they distinguish between one-sided doors, decorated only on the front side, and double-sided doors, which have two decorated sides.

Depending on the materials used, gates are made of metal; wooden gates are heavy and solid; those made of metal profiles, polycarbonate, and sandwich panels are lighter. There are transparent ones made from forged elements or from combinations of various materials.

Modern entrances differ in the control method: mechanical, which must be opened by hand, and automatic, with an electric drive, they allow the driver to open and close the gate without leaving the car.

Any swing gates, including homemade ones, can be equipped with an automation kit.

According to their purpose and area of application, there are industrial gates, entrance gates, and street gates, which restrict the passage of cars into the courtyards of multi-story buildings and are usually controlled automatically. The location of the entrance is also affected by fire regulations and safety requirements.

Materials

The choice of material from which the gates are made is influenced by the following factors:

  • Purpose, installation location.
  • Control type – manual or automatic.
  • General architectural design harmonious combination with the rest of the fence or contrast.
  • Wind loads, windage, and other external factors.

Lightweight gates made of corrugated sheets or polycarbonate, as well as welded metal lattice, mesh, and tensioned steel mesh on a metal frame made of corrugated pipe or euro-fence, they are most often used in structures controlled by automation, then the doors open and close easily. Picket fence gates are fastened quickly and look elegant.

Wooden doors look more environmentally friendly and impressive, but less durable, since the wood is exposed to aggressive external environment and can deteriorate over time. The sun and moisture falling on wood make it a favorable environment for the development of bacteria, fungi, insects, and the process of rotting begins. To give this material stability, it is impregnated with antiseptics and hydrophobic compounds, coated with varnishes for external works or paints. Bars are selected from more durable tree species, such as oak.

Wooden gates They are usually installed on private plots and in suburban households.

Metal profile and steel or aluminum sheets can be seen in all garages in the country; they are often placed on the street gates of fences of various territories, organizations and private houses. They look very expressive and elegant Forged gates or metal with lattice elements to facilitate construction. The cost of such gates is higher than ordinary ones without decoration, but the result will impress guests and neighbors.

Profiled sheets are now very popular as a material for sash cladding.

It has undoubted advantages:

  • Light weight is an important property for automation operation.
  • Financial inclusion.
  • Practicality and durability of corrugated sheets thanks to profiling and coating.
  • Easy to cut and install, quick installation.
  • Huge assortment textures and colors, effects, for example, imitation wood, stone, coated with luminous or heat-indicating paint, the possibility of applying any prints.

From modern options We can distinguish gates with polycarbonate, plastic, and film, which preserve the microclimate in production premises.

Combinations of different materials are also possible. You can use a profile for the frame, and cover the doors with wood, PVC, or wood-polymer composite. Metal sheets look beautiful with forged elements and decorative strips at the top.

Gate support posts are made from metal pipe, which strengthens the pillar, ensures the stability of the structure and takes the main loads. Around the pipe there may be brickwork or a concrete monolith.

Constructions

Swing gates have a very simple design. They do not require a foundation, like sliding roller gates, which have rollers, wheels and guides. Additional details are possible, for example, they try to make the gates to the workshops insulated and sealed, so they are attached to the doors rubber compressor. On brick pillars install additional lighting.

All types of swing gates contain the following structural elements:

  • Support pillars. For lightweight gates and fences, installation on screw piles is possible.
  • Hinges to which the sashes are attached. Heavy gates use cylindrical hinges, reinforced with bearings; they are also adjustable.

  • Retainers. They limit the opening of the gate and connect them in a closed state in one line; the latches can be with a spring or a shock absorber.

  • Constipation, deadbolt, lock, secures the doors in a locked state.

The gate opens outward when the internal area is small, then the drive must be mounted hidden, under the surface of the ground, and the axes of the gates must be longer in order to properly secure the drive levers.

If the doors open inward, then the levers can be attached directly to the door leaf, and the mechanism can be attached to the gate post.

To move the sashes you need free space With flat surface. Windage and wind load on the sash are also important. At high rates windage, lattice flaps are recommended, through which air passes, and the windage is thereby reduced.

To open a simple gate, you need to get out of the car, then open the doors one by one, drive into the territory, get out again, and close the doors. In rain, wind and snow, getting out of the car and doing all this manually is long and unpleasant, so the gates are equipped with sets of drives and automation for them.

Opening mechanisms

Drives for moving sashes are linear and lever. Based on their operating principle, they are divided into electromechanical and hydraulic. According to the level of placement - above-ground and underground.

The linear electromechanical system is by far the most popular, it is inexpensive, easy to install and opens the doors outward. It looks like an oblong case, from which comes an arrow-shaped bar. Screw driven by an electric motor low power, moves the nut along the guide, converting the rotational moment of movement into linear and moving the gate leaf. For smooth operation, the linear drive is equipped with a control unit. Installation of such a system is done at the bottom of the gate.

The lever drive is also powered by an electric motor through a gearbox. A vertical shaft to which a crank lever mechanism is attached that opens the doors. Special switches and sensors, closers, ensure smooth operation. This drive makes it possible to open inwards even with wide pillars.

Lever mechanisms can be mounted underground, but in this case they must be placed in metal box, concreted, protected from water ingress and freezing. The lever is on the outside.

The hydraulic drive is more expensive than others; it is used in heavy, frequently used gates and is equipped with an automation kit. A reversible electric pump supplies oil to the cylinders that move the gate.

Advantages remote control opening/closing:

  • Range – up to 30 meters, can be controlled from home.
  • Opening within 10-15 seconds after pressing the button.
  • Simple, reliable and durable system.
  • Quick stop of the drive in case of failure or accident.
  • Works on standard single-phase electrical wiring.

For sale ready-made kits management, which includes:

  • Receiving antenna.
  • Signal lamp.
  • Control unit with electronic board and relay.
  • Electromagnetic lock.
  • Photocells, object position sensors, induction circuits.

All wires and cables are insulated with metal corrugated hose and hidden under a layer of concrete. The automation is tested for operation before installation. Control units are mounted in special niches in poles or boxes.

Dimensions

Correct placement and dimensions, competent calculation and marking, dimensions and weight of the entire structure will ensure safe and reliable operation and long service life of the gate.

When designing a fence and choosing the type of drive and automation, the dimensions of the posts and the width of the entrance, the distance from the post to the leaf, and the thickness of the leaves are very important. All these figures must be clearly indicated on the drawing. It is necessary to mark the position of all parts, locks, and mechanisms.

The minimum width of the gate sufficient for the passage of any type of transport is 280 cm. When making calculations, the angle of entry of the vehicle should be taken into account. If a truck cannot enter the territory at a right angle, the width of the passage must be increased by 1.2-1.5 times. You should also add double the thickness of the sashes. The maximum width can be 6 meters; it requires structural reinforcement, powerful automation and drive.

The height from the ground to the lower edge of the gates, so that they do not get stuck when moving, must be at least 8-10 cm. The height of the gate, equal to 2 m, is sufficient for the passage of ordinary passenger vehicles. For production and workshop gates, the height must allow the passage of all necessary types transport.

Reinforcement pipe cross-section for support pillars– 80-100 m. Profiles for the frame are needed with a diameter of 2.5 to 4.5 cm. For diagonal or transverse reinforcement, you will need a profile with a cross-section of 2-4 cm.

Technical requirements

Like any construction works, the arrangement of fences and gates is carried out strictly according to the standards and rules:

  • The surface of the platform is level throughout the entire opening radius; the slightest obstacle can lead to jamming and damage to the drive.
  • The width of the entrance and the door leaf must be sufficient for safe and free passage of vehicles. For cars it is 3.5 m, for trucks it is recommended 4 m.
  • Norms fire safety require a gate width of at least 4 m if the house is located away from the intersection.
  • The minimum height of the sashes is 1.8 m.
  • Appearance and design should be in harmony with general view streets and houses.
  • The gate must be equipped with all necessary security systems, warning signs and plates.

Security devices

For the uninterrupted operation of the swing system, it is necessary to take a number of measures to prevent people, children, animals, and cars located within the swing radius in order to avoid injuries and unexpected departure of vehicles. For this purpose, special warning signs and signs, reflective elements and signal lighting are attached. An audible alarm and flashing parking lights are also used.

It is mandatory to install systems for detecting various foreign objects in the path of movement of the canvases. Such systems are photocells and sensors for the position and movement of the doors, as well as the position and movement of the vehicle or the presence of foreign objects. In this case, the control device is activated, the drive is blocked and automatically stops. Photocells are mounted at a distance of at least 1 meter from the fence on special posts and on the main gate posts. The inductive loop is laid under the surface of the earth at a depth of 3 to 10 cm in three or four layers.

DIY making

It is quite possible to build a gate yourself using necessary tools and compliance with technology and concrete drying times.

For independent work you will need:

  • Concrete mixer, shovel;
  • Level, tape measure, marker, square;

When using swing systems, the entire main load falls on the supporting pillars. To give the structure rigidity and reliability, the supports are reinforced steel pipe and dig into the ground to a depth of soil freezing of approximately 1-1.5 m. After marking the location of the supports, a hole is dug at these points with a depth of 1.5 m and a diameter twice as large as the cross-section of the pipe. Next, sand and crushed stone are poured onto the bottom of the pit, creating a so-called cushion. Its height is 20 cm.

When choosing a fence for country cottage You should highlight swing gates made of sandwich panels. Their main advantage is stylish and attractive appearance, which goes well with the facade.

Design idea

The supports on which the swing gate panel is hung are standard metallic profile. Brick or stone pillars. To increase the rigidity and wind resistance of structures made of brick or stone, place inside metal fittings. A mount is mounted on the installed supports, onto which the sashes are hung.

Horizontal placement

For the manufacture of sash panels they use different materials. The most common of them are sandwich panels. They give swing design The gate provides additional rigidity and wind resistance. Another significant advantage of this material is the variety of design and color solutions, combined with any type of facade.

Sandwich with aluminum filling

To protect against the influence of moisture and ultraviolet radiation, the gate structure is painted with anti-corrosion agents using multi-level painting technology.

The best option is multi-layer paint application in a heat chamber.

The main advantages of the gate

Swing gates are made from different material. However, the most popular is the sectional model made from sandwich panels.

Sheathing filling options

Depending on the method of application, the following product types exist:

  • domestic;
  • industrial.

Variety of colors

Their main advantages:

  1. Easy installation. Specialists will quickly carry out the work on installing the gate in compliance with the necessary rules, which will prevent future failure of the system.
  2. Safety and reliability. Due to the rigidity of the structure, the use of the swing system is safe, and the strength of the panels protects against unauthorized entry.
  3. Good performance. Thanks to the installation of automatic remote control, the gate opens easily and silently. The design can last up to 15 years without losing its attractive appearance. If the panels are partially damaged, they can be replaced without completely dismantling the gate section.
  4. Light weight product. Thanks to the good rigidity of the structure, its weight can remain low, which ensures easy transportation of the gate and its quick installation. Swing industrial gates They perfectly withstand gusts of wind, the influence of precipitation and ultraviolet rays, and also have excellent anti-corrosion properties.
  5. Neat appearance. Gates in most cases are made in brown color. But if desired, they can be painted in any other color that will be in harmony with the facade and the general appearance of the fence.
  6. Fire properties. This allows you to install them on the garage. If there is a fire indoors or outdoors, the product will not ignite or melt, without releasing or admitting fire.

Combination with forging

Another advantage of using gates made of sandwich panels is their ability to retain heat. Therefore, they are widely used garage option. Such gates support the desired temperature regime indoors, and thanks to the aluminum profile they are lightweight, which makes their installation easy.

Types of sandwich panels

Sandwich panel is a multilayer frameless design. Panels are classified according to their purpose into the following types:

  • roofing;
  • wall, which are used in the manufacture of gates.

Layout of the future product

The following types of fillers are used in the production of sandwich panels:

Panel composition

For greater reliability and resistance of panels to impact environment They use a combined insulation, including several layers of different fillers.

Do-it-yourself gate installation: step-by-step instructions

Due to its simple design and easy installation, it is not difficult to install a sandwich gate with your own hands. First you need to prepare materials, which include:

  • directly the panels themselves are made of aluminum or steel;
  • metal corners cross section 65 mm;
  • profile 100x100 mm;
  • hinged hinges;
  • consumables for installing supports (crushed stone, sand, cement).

Production options

Any type of gate on the site, including swing gates, requires stable supports. The installation work includes the following steps:

  1. First, they dig holes for the supports. There may be two or three of them, depending on the presence or absence of a wicket. The depth of the holes can vary from 1 to 2.5 meters depending on the condition of the soil. Sand and small crushed stone are placed at the bottom and compacted well.
  2. Next, prepare a solution for pouring the supports. In this case, cement and sand are used.
  3. A metal profile with a cross-section of 100x100 mm is inserted into the prepared pits. Metal material will ensure a longer service life of the structure. For greater stability, plates or a small grid are welded to the bottom of the support.
  4. Installed and additionally reinforced metal poles pour prepared concrete mortar. The location of the supports must be strictly vertical.

Scheme for installing pillars and creating a frame

The poured structure is left for two to three weeks for the concrete to completely harden. During this time, gate leaves are made.

It is better to carry out work in an open area, which is several meters larger than the finished structure.

Methods for concreting pillars

The work is carried out in the following sequence:

  1. Take accurate measurements between pillars. A gap of 2 cm is left between the sashes and the supports on both sides.
  2. On the prepared site, metal corners are laid out according to the drawing, which are welded using the spot method. Then the frame is checked with a level for horizontalness and the seams are finally welded. The canopies are welded to the posts. The sash is attached to them and welded directly. After checking and adjusting the travel of the sashes, the canopies are rigidly welded to the supports.
  3. The panels are installed on the sashes removed from the awnings. They are placed on the site in a horizontal position. Aluminum or galvanized panel blanks must be recessed into metal corners. The price of aluminum panels is slightly higher, but they are more durable.
  4. Using self-tapping screws, screw each panel one by one to metal frame. To do this, holes of the required diameter are drilled in the corner. The sashes are attached to the canopies and their movement is checked. The final stage is the handle fastener.

Layout with main elements

The result of the above work will be beautiful and neat swing gates.

The most popular designs of access devices at present are gates (another name for them is sliding or sliding). Sliding doors, for all their advantages, have one drawback - for opening them door leaf you need a place located along a wall or fence. If there is no such place (for example, a gate in a garage, which is located in a row of similar structures in the CAS), then all that remains is to use a swing structure.

Swing gate design

The design of swing gates is very simple and, like all simple things, reliable. What is she? Two pillars at the edges doorway, on which the sashes are fixed. The doors are frames made of profiled metal with a certain filling. That's the whole structure.

  • the doors should open inward and outward, easily and silently;
  • there shouldn't be any blowing at the door. They must maintain the set temperature inside the room, regardless of the outside temperature;
  • the doors should resist any intruder, and should easily swing open for the owner after lightly pressing the button on the key fob;
  • the appearance of the doors should “please the eye” of the owner and cause healthy envy among neighbors.

Consider one of the requirements above: preservation set temperature indoors, regardless of outdoors. This requirement applies to doors in refrigeration chambers, retail, warehouse and other premises. This is achieved by using insulation to fill the frame of the gate leaf. The following can be used as insulation: sandwich panels, mineral wool and other materials. Consider the use of sandwich panels.

Installation diagram for swing gates with sandwich panels.

Sandwich panels in swing gates.

Gate frames with sandwich panels are usually made of metal: aluminum or galvanized steel with polymer coating. For grocery refrigerators, they are often made of durable PVC. Mounted around the perimeter of the frame aluminum profile. To prevent corrosion, the door leaf is often protected with polymer. Air exchange is limited by sealing with silicone material.

The inside of the doors is filled with compressed polystyrene foam. Transparent polycarbonate windows are mounted in their upper part, Bottom part- Reinforced with hard polyethylene for impact protection.

To reduce heat loss, a wicket door is installed in the gate.
