What will be in fashion this year. Sports style and neoprene

Fashion is very changeable. At the beginning of each new season, designers of famous brands offer many stylish looks. Trends appear and disappear, sometimes becoming anti-trends in a fairly short period of time.

What will be considered relevant in 2018 and 2019, and also, what main trends and fashion trends should be taken into account when creating a stylish look? We invite you to learn more about the fashion of future seasons by finding answers to the questions:

Top fashion styles 2018-2019

No matter how fashion trends change from season to season, the desire for individuality remains unchanged. When creating a stylish look, you should start from the features of your appearance and take into account the fashion trends of the spring-summer or autumn-winter seasons in 2018 and 2019. But the basis of any image is a certain style, mixing and complementing which you can get bright looks with an exclusive note that is so important today.

Today and in the near future, the following styles will be firmly established at the peak of popularity:

  • Classic
  • Youth casual
  • Extraordinary ethno
  • Sporty chic
  • Extravagant boho

Fashionable classics

Although you can often hear the opinion that classics are timeless, fashion periodically makes adjustments to the concept of a stylish classic look. Analyzing photos of fashion shows of the most famous couturiers, we can identify the following trends that determine the classic direction of fashion in the coming 2018-2019:

  • femininity and elegance, integral components of which are dresses and skirts;
  • tendency to return to maxi length;
  • emphasized narrow waist;
  • cropped trousers 7/8 loose fit;
  • fashionable transparency;
  • decor (ruffles, frills, flounces, fringe and embroidery);
  • neutral palette of shades that can be complemented with bright accents.

Youth casual

Casual in 2018 and 2019 will remain one of the most popular trends among the youth audience, because it allows you to create exclusive images based on comfortable and practical things.

Fashionistas who prefer this trend should replenish their wardrobe with such basic things as:

  • jeans and trousers;
  • long jackets;
  • blouses;
  • knitted cardigans;
  • cozy sweaters.

Extraordinary ethnicity

If you want to look spectacular, don’t like standards and those imposed from outside the norm - pay attention to ethnic styles that are especially relevant in the coming seasons!

Ethnic style involves the use in clothing of prints or individual elements inherent in the original culture of certain peoples. In 2018 and 2019, when creating their collections, fashion designers drew inspiration from African, Indian, Russian, Native American, Japanese, Greek and Egyptian cultures. What came out of this can be seen in the photo.

Sporty chic

The fashion for a healthy lifestyle and a beautiful, toned body is reflected on fashion catwalks in the form of a separate style, called “sporty chic.”

In style, two directions can be distinguished:

  • practical and comfortable looks for everyday wear;
  • spectacular extraordinary bows for those who like to surprise with bold ideas.

Although in the collections famous brands Since a wide variety of fashion trends are covered, we can state the fact that interest in sports styling has significantly increased and in 2018-2019 fashionistas will more often give preference to individual elements borrowed from the professional clothing of athletes. What will it be? Yes, anything, from shoes to diving suits, from materials to decoration techniques.

Extravagant boho

Many designers compare boho clothing with a lifestyle. It is unique and inimitable for everyone, because it reflects the individuality of a particular person and his perception of the world.

Often this direction attracts creative and extraordinary people who value exclusivity and a non-standard approach, constantly looking for something new in a combination of incompatible things. Does this mean that dressing in boho style will make a person look outrageous? Not at all, because when creating a stylish look, you can use individual elements inherent in this trend and combine the items in your wardrobe in the most unexpected way.

It is worth noting that the main feature of boho is the complete neutralization of the importance of price and belonging to any brand. The main thing is the inner comfort and harmony that arises in a person who finds his unique image.

Also this year, when creating fashionable looks, you can use elements inherent in grunge and avant-garde, things in vintage (retro) and country style. And of course, no one can cancel the romantic style, which is most widely represented in the collections of branded evening and wedding dresses.

Key trends in women's fashion

In 2018 and 2019, fashionistas should pay attention to such factors as femininity, naturalness and harmony of the image.

The most current trends of the season:

  • plain total look;
  • maximum transparency;
  • multi-layered images;
  • clothing made of denim and genuine leather;
  • knitted items with a “hand made” effect;
  • capes instead of classic demi-season coats;
  • eye-catching prints;
  • exclusive accessories.

Prepares many selections of the best women's clothing and accessories, and also detailed review fashion trends. Today we will try to pay attention to all the significant trends of 2018-2019.

1. One of the most important trends of the new autumn-winter season 2018 - 2019 is a repetition of the style of the 80s of the last century.

And today we must certainly understand the main fashionable aspects of this decade; there is a lot to learn and something to borrow. Some people admire the fashion of this decade, for others it evokes nostalgia, but no one is indifferent. Why are they remarkable?

In them you will see some aggressive and at the same time glamorous woman; business lady office style; bright colors such as acid green and yellow, fuchsia, leopard prints, denim, lurex, leather, jersey and lycra. You should grab shorts, leggings, unusual sleeves, a variety of jeans, men's cut jackets, blouses and dresses with shoulder pads, fishnet tights, windbreaker jackets and much, much more from the 80s.

2. Layering still remains an important fashion trend. Some designers are so passionate about creating it that they put several pieces of clothing on female models at once. He was especially successful in this.

If you repeat the suggested images, think about whether others will think of you that you have to carry all your things on yourself, since you do not have a specific place of residence. Of course, such cabbage can compensate for the lack of kilograms, but what if you are overweight, and you would like to create layers? Then, to use the fashion trend in your wardrobe, stop at a combination of different prints, imitating both layering and patchwork at the same time.

3. Asymmetry will become more elegant in the autumn-winter season. And this is good because, you see, a dress cut into pieces, or rather fabric, is not very comfortable to wear.

4. Bohemian style creates scope for many trends. Images of girls in dresses made of bright fabrics with frills or ruffles, lots of scarves, loose silhouette; long dresses with multi-tiered ruffles along the entire length of the skirt, bright prints and muted shades of brown tones, embroidery and appliqué - all this creates room for the imagination of needlewomen and craftswomen.

5. Long A-line dress. Loose-fitting dresses became popular back in summer season. Designers again offer complete freedom. This is a long trapeze dress that resembles a Roman toga, without complex decorative elements, in other words, in a minimalist style.

Reem Acra, Jasper Conran, Anteprima

6. Patchwork. With such a variety of boho styles, patchwork cannot be forgotten. More often the patches are sewn on randomly. The seams are decorated with lace, frills, beads and other decorative elements. And sometimes the seams do not hide, but rather demonstrate the place of sewing. There are options with imitation seams or patches, in other words, a kind of print.

7. Dresses made from scarves

Dresses made from scarves are another option from the same theme. Unusual models that you should take a closer look at are in the collections of Marine Serre, Mary Katrantzou, Etro, Christian Dior. Dresses made from scarves are not the first season, but for the fall - winter of 2018 - 2019 their popularity has increased. You can create original looks with scarves, or sometimes simply throw them over your shoulders or tie them on your hips.

8. Formal office clothes 2018-2019

Thanks to her, modest girls are given more choice. This style has echoes of the 80s. A strict office pencil skirt, jackets of various cuts, universal dresses with distinctly strict lines, light blouses without complex decor or blouse-shirts - all these items will make up a great wardrobe for a business girl.

9. Oversized, masculine and emphasis on the jacket

Oversized doesn't give up. It is especially noticeable in sweaters and coats, where it creates an emphasis on the width of the product, volume and sleeve length. Some things actually resemble dimensionless things. A suit from a man's shoulder in the new season will not become a hindrance in a fashionista's wardrobe, at least that's what the designers think.

Marc Jacobs, Alberta Ferretti, Rochas

But one more note is required here. For the autumn-winter season, designers suggest putting emphasis on the jacket, even if it is not from a man’s shoulder, but is sewn on a girl’s delicate shoulders. The most important thing is how you wear it. Designers recommend wearing the jacket with trousers or a dress, with a skirt and blouse.

Masculinity and femininity are sometimes combined like two in one. It is, worn on a graceful elegant dress or slip dress, that will help create such an image. And so – the emphasis is on the jacket. Designers assure that a jacket can be worn not only on a dress, but also on a naked body. What it will be and what to call it, see for yourself.

10. Dress-coat, dress-robe

Many people will like this dress. It can be transformed according to your wishes and worn as conveniently as possible - with or without a belt, on a naked body or with a turtleneck, with trousers or with a skirt-blouse, that is, you can create fantastic layers.

11. Western and fashion trends 2018-2019

Western is all the rage, and you'll have to pay serious attention to it. From here follow the trends - ethnic style, suede, fringe, wide-brimmed hats, capes, blankets, checks, wide leather belts, stoles, Cossack boots. We have to make a choice. If you look at the collections of Alberta Ferretti, Dsquared2, you will find here the best images for strong and independent girls.

12. Capes. In the new season, with the onset of the first cold weather, capes will be able to extend the life of summer dresses or a light blouse, and they are also ready to support a very noticeable trend - layering. In addition to capes, another option is suggested - throwing a blanket or blanket over yourself.

Gucci, Roksanda, Alberta Ferretti

13. Corset belts and dresses with corset belts

The corset belt looks great with dresses and high-waisted trousers or skirts. Corsets are offered in a wide variety of materials. Looks from the collections of Alexander McQueen, Elie Saab, Zimmermann, Ann Demeulemeester can be called aggressive and at the same time feminine...

Since the spirit of the Wild West is felt in fashion, many belts remind us of accessories. The military style, loved by many, is inexhaustible, and wide belts with buckles are combined with various textures - knitwear, wool and fur.

14. Emphasis on sleeves and wide shoulders. To draw attention to yourself, the sleeve cut in 2018 – 2019 should be quite complex. Last season, the sleeves were enormous in width, but many fashionistas did not consider it necessary to support such a proposal from the designers, because it is extremely inconvenient to drive a car with such sleeves.

In the new season 2018-2019, most fashion designers have considered complex cut options, while leaving pomp and volume, but within reasonable limits. For this, drapery is used both vertically and horizontally. Shoulder gathers increase the volume of the sleeves and the width of the shoulders, which is a repetition of what was done in the 80s of the last century.

But there are also designers who stubbornly stand their ground and offer volumes without limiting their imagination. Some of the coolest shoulders are those of Gareth Pugh and Annakiki. It should be noted the Zimmermann collection, where the increase in shoulder volume is within reason, and in the Victorian style.

15. Checkered coat- one of the options for spectacular outerwear. The cage takes pride of place on the podium. Look at the collections of Fendi, Balenciaga, Ermanno Scervino, and you will see for yourself.

16. Bright faux fur coats. This is the hit of the next season. Winter promises to be bright. On the catwalk you could see fur coats with imitation patchwork, gradient, color blocks and many other colorful looks. If you have not purchased such a fur coat yet, there is still time, winter is ahead. Faux fur continues to take over the catwalk.

2 photos Dries Van Noten, Christian Dior

17. Plush fur coats and jackets, or just a bear coat

Designers have given special preference to the bear fur coat in the new season. Most likely, many fashionistas will like it, even if it is made of faux fur, because such fabrication reminds us of childhood with plush soft toys, when we were inseparable from them even in our sleep. The best and warmest, of course, will be. Fur dressing technologies are different, so there is a wide choice.

Coach, Rochas, Tods

18. Sheepskin coats trimmed with sheepskin. Fashionistas northern countries don't have to worry. Natural fur remains. In the new season, the fashion trend is sheepskin, which means a sheepskin coat. A sheepskin coat is a spectacular outerwear, and is always in demand among fashionistas. For autumn-winter 2018 – 2019, designers offer models trimmed with sheepskin.

Sonia Rykiel, David Koma, Loewe
Etro, Chloe, Christian Dior

19. The length of dresses, skirts and coats is not limited. And there is no primacy here. However, which one to choose is up to you. It all depends on your taste, style and dress code. Many argue that the mini is consigned to oblivion. But it's not that simple. Mini is not leaving, and it is unlikely that he will ever leave. Indeed, midi and maxi were in the overwhelming majority on the catwalk. This is probably why in some collections designers decided to take revenge, which convinced everyone that the mini is not giving up.

Palette and fashion trends fall-winter 2018-2019

The Pantone Color Institute has determined the main colors of the year. If we talk about those offered by designers, the colors of red poppy, red pear, and camel hair, orange orange, blue - from bright to hazy and neon.

It is neon or acidic ones, which are given different names, for example, the color of spotlights, lemons, lime or chartreuse, that have already become the most popular. Street style fashionistas began to use these bright colors simultaneously with the proposals of designers. And designers offer to purchase not only neon dresses, but also fur coats and even leg warmers in bright colors.

Brandon Maxwell, Milly, Tom Ford

20. Gradient

One of the main color trends of 2018 – 2019 is gradient. Luxurious airy dresses look spectacular, the shades change and seem to dissolve into one another - from pink to blue, from orange to pale yellow...

Materials 2018-2019

Tweed

It cannot be said that tweed is coming back, it has always been, is and will be. But in the new autumn-winter season 2018-2019, the material turned out to be the most noticeable. Karl Lagerfeld uses this high-quality, comfortable and practical material in his Chanel collections every season. And each image turns out luxurious, unusual and unique.

The iconic tweed suit is a must-have in a woman's wardrobe, no matter her age. How to do it? Take a look at the new Chanel collections and you will definitely find the answer.

If you think a tweed suit is only for conservative ladies, wear a dress or coat, or better yet, a cape or twist. If you prefer something extravagant, pay attention to the Matty Bovan collection, where deconstructivism, extravagance and layering are intertwined.

Chanel

Knitwear

Many designers paid tribute to a fashion trend that repeats itself every season - knitwear. One could remain silent about this and not notice it as a trend. But there are soooo many knitwear items.

Hand-knitted sweaters, coarse yarn, carelessness in manufacturing will become a fashion trend; sweaters embroidered with beads and sequins. As for the knitted fabric, here, in addition to hand knitting, there is a large relief pattern and an elastic band - “noodles”. Knitted coats and capes occupy one of the main positions after sweaters.

In cold winter weather, a fluffy angora will warm you up. Choose bright shades as well as soft pastels. Fluffiness and brightness will create an unusual look - whether you are wearing a sweater, dress or coat.

Alberta Ferretti, Emporio Armani, Giorgio Armani

Shiny fabrics

A variety of shiny fabrics dictate new ones fashionable images. Fashionistas just have to use their designer imagination to replenish their wardrobe. Shiny fabrics - from molten metal to canvas completely covered with sequins, sparkle and shimmer.

In the new season, rhinestones and sequins are popular different sizes. There are fabrics that will make you feel like a Christmas tree. Glitter and shimmer are created not only by sequins or rhinestones; there are metallized fabrics, with sputtering or a special weave of threads.

Vinyl

This stuff is not from the future. He has been with us for a long time. It is cold in winter and hot in summer, and cannot be called beneficial for the body. But designers persistently convince us to wear it. Most likely, they will succeed in this just as it happened with the lingerie style, when many did not dare to wear a slip on the street, and now even ladies who are “wise” with experience put on a slip dress, exposing their “charms”.

How comfortable a vinyl dress or skirt is is up to you to decide. But a vinyl raincoat or jacket is worth purchasing in the new autumn-winter season.

The list of fabrics that remain popular could go on. You cannot ignore satin, silk, chiffon, cotton, brocade, taffeta, lace. Despite the upcoming cold weather, all these light and airy fabrics will certainly be needed when creating various looks and styles.

However, it should be noted such as tapestry and corduroy, which will also be relevant along with leather, suede, fur and velvet.

Decor - clothing and accessories 2018-2019

Fringe does not leave fashion shows. At every Fashion Week, this decorative element reminds of itself. It remains on the hems of dresses, sleeves, pockets, trousers, jackets, etc. One can only be surprised at how designers manage to interpret it in such a way that in each new season we see it different from previous versions.

Chloe, Alexander McQueen and 2 photos of Givenchy

Femininity and romance are popular in the new season, and therefore numerous frills and ruffles will decorate our outfits.

Among the decorative elements, in addition to sequins and rhinestones, we should highlight beads in the form of a drop of pearls, which are sewn onto the surface of products (sweaters, skirts, dresses) in separate single links, like miniature Christmas tree decorations.

Many designers used zippers, eyelets and buttons as decoration. For example, in the collection, zippers are sewn onto the products in such a way that from an unnoticeable element they became the main decor of all outfits.

Prints and women's fashion 2018-2019

Animal print– a print that turned out to be among the most noticeable. Here you can see leopards with different colors, even acidic ones. This will not diminish the nature of these beautiful cats, because artificial fur has proven to be more popular than natural fur.

In addition to the leopard, it enters the fashion arena zebra. And this is not surprising, for quite a long time black and white graphic prints have been on the championship podium, and the zebra seems to be akin to them.

Gareth Pugh, Givenchy and 2 photos of Tom Ford
Max Mara, Halpern, Carolina Herrera

Cell. The checkered print is not far behind the leopard print. The check appeared on skirts, coats, scarves... In autumn and winter, absolutely all types of check will be relevant, and there are many varieties. The same can be said about cell size.

Everyone's favorite cage remains popular "goose foot". The checkered pattern is noticeable on its own without any decorative additions. However, in the collections there are magnificent combinations of different cells, both in size and color. Look and choose.

Logomania is back in trend. Previously, monograms communicated the status of the wearer, they were a symbol of wealth, today it is more nostalgia for the past 80s and 90s. It was at this time that there was a surge in the popularity of logos. Brands, both then and today, want to remind themselves and gain mass recognition among consumers. And consumers themselves suggest that they need this to show themselves on Instagram.

What else would you like to say and what should you take note?

Accessories always complete the look. In the new season, you need to purchase silk scarves and a long scarf, warm stoles and wide-brimmed hats, long gloves and always bright tights or leggings. But this is still to be discussed.

How do designers see the world of the future?

Designers remember the past and think about the future. Each of them sees it all differently. We can agree with them and admire them, or we can be indignant and reject new images. Sometimes they show the audience an original show in order to somehow remember and interest them.

Some of them introduce plastic as a unique material, silver parkas, futuristic sneakers, trench coats and windbreakers in earthy tones, rubber boots. Some invite us to create the image of a builder-crane operator, others to reproduce the style of a forester or a cleaner.

But the main wish for all fashionistas is to create their own and unique style, which reflects your personality.

Fashion Week is over, which means it’s time to take stock. What will we wear in six months? What fashion trends and tendencies will be the main ones in spring-summer 2019 fashion?

So, top 20 most fashionable trends in women's clothing.

Stitching and cutwork

Lace embroidery is one of the hottest clothing trends for the next season. Designers suggest remembering grandma's handicrafts and trying on romantic dresses, blouses and even overalls made of openwork embroidered lace.

Alberta Ferretti, Jonathan Simkhai, Oscar de la Renta

Wide pants

Flying palazzos, flared thighs, “pipes”, bananas and bloomers - all this is still fashionable. Wide trousers are must have of the season and the most popular trouser model.

Au Jour Le Jour, Alberta Ferretti, Emporio Armani

Dress with buttons

Another must-have wardrobe item for the spring-summer 2019 season is a dress with buttons. Shirt dress and sundress, models with lowered puffed sleeves and floor-length robe dresses - the main thing is that there is a row of buttons in the front!

Elie Tahari, Marissa Webb, Sies Marjan

Patchwork

Continuing the theme of handicrafts, designers demonstrate patchwork sewing. There was a lot of it in the spring-summer collections! Leather and chintz, denim and chiffon - all of this was cut into squares, strips and irregularly shaped patches, and then sewn together.

Zimmermann, Carolina Herrera, Coach 1941

Strip

The cage that reigned will be replaced by a stripe in the spring. “Rainbow” stripes, alternating stripes of different widths and very thin, a la 60s, stripes will be popular.

Carolina Herrera, Novis, Dennis Basso

Asymmetry

Always fashionable, asymmetry in spring puts the emphasis on the shoulders: dresses and blouses “on one shoulder” and/or with one sleeve are the most fashionable option. Designers often “aggravated” such asymmetry with a high slit - naturally, also on one side. But uneven hemlines and mullet skirts are much less common - and even then, only in evening dresses.

Zuhair Murad, Oscar de la Renta, Pamella Roland

Leopard print

The predatory “leopard” is not going to give up its place as a leader in the top fashion prints. Designers actively use it in light clothing, outerwear, and accessories.

Baja East, Saint Laurent, Antonio Marras

Red and pink

A bold and extravagant combination of red and pink colors will be in trend again next spring and summer. You can put together an ensemble of 2 items or choose a model that combines both of these colors.

Brandon Maxwell, Novis

Sequins

And again, for several seasons in a row, sequins have been the focus of designers’ attention. Large, like scales, or very tiny - they no longer even act as decoration: the fabrics from which the “sequin dresses” are made are completely embroidered with them. The iridescent glitter looks especially impressive and beautiful.

Pamella Roland, David Koma Tadashi_Shoji

Summer coat

Oddly enough, there will be fewer ordinary demi-season coats in the spring of 2019 than light summer models. Either a very early and warm spring awaits us, or a cool summer. Please note: the most current models are from satin.

Burberry, Dion Lee, Salvatore Ferragamo

"Hook creativity"

Crocheted dresses, skirts and all kinds of sets are another hot trend of the season from the hand made category. Vintage crochet dresses, fishnet-like sundresses, granny squares and Irish lace - literally all variations of crochet could be seen on the fashion week catwalk.

Carolina Herrera, Christian Dior, Oscar de la Renta

Foil

The metallic effect has not gone away - it’s just that in the coming season it has changed somewhat: dresses and trouser suits in gold and silver colors that look like candy wrappers will be in fashion. Don’t be modest – dress in “foil” from head to toe!

Rodarte, Area Rough, 3.1 Phillip Lim

Yellow

It seems that designers have already decided on the color of the year 2019 - yellow has become the clear leader of the past Fashion Weeks. Delicate pastel shades, bright sunny and even acidic neon yellow - all this, judging by numerous photos from the shows, will be worn next spring.

Alice+Olivia, Brandon Maxwell, Carolina Herrera

Bermuda shorts instead of trousers

If you feel hot in a pantsuit in the summer, replace the “bottom”! Designers offer fashionistas a huge number of options for trousers and shorts. And not with ultra-short ones, which you won’t show up to the office in, but with quite “decent” Bermuda shorts.

Keaton, Roberto Cavalli, Dion Lee

Full transparency

The “naked” dresses, which exploded in fashion a couple of seasons ago, will be joined by blouses, tops and overalls in the spring. Moreover, models that “for the sake of decency” have embroidery, appliqués or other decor in the right places, alternate with clothes that hide literally nothing. And to enhance the effect, designers suggest wearing such things without any underwear at all.

Moschino, Alberta Ferretti, Naeem Khan

Bright floristry

Fashionable women's clothing should be bright and pleasing to the eye. One of the most popular options that couturiers use for these purposes is floral prints. Flowers on a dark background were popular, and by summer, designers decided to compensate for the restraint of the palette - bright and very colorful “bouquets” bloomed on dresses and sundresses.

Carolina Herrera, Dolce & Gabbana, Josie Natori

Openwork shoes

A logical continuation of the theme of light coats was openwork shoes. Wicker boots are returning to women's fashion, and they will be paired with shoes with mesh and wicker inserts.

Salvatore Ferragamo, Altuzarra, Stella McCartney

Multi-tiered frills

Ruffles, frills and flounces in several rows not only create volume, but also turn skirts and dresses into something flying, magical and very romantic. Unlike previous seasons, when designers arranged the “exciting decor” any way they wanted, in the new collections the frills go strictly one after another, forming multi-tiered structures.

Carolina Herrera, Vivetta, Christian Siriano

Neon

Bright shades in the summer will be very bright! Wear neon colors boldly by dressing in them from head to toe. And don’t be afraid to combine several acidic shades in your look.

Jeremy Scott, Alice+Olivia, Prabal Gurung

Pleated in a new way

Having reigned in fashion for several seasons in a row, they will also be popular in the next season. And for those who are tired of the pleated skirt, designers offer a new look at pleating: the same skirt or dress with pleating can look completely different if you show some imagination.

Alberta Ferretti, Brandon Maxwell, Marchesa

Modern fashion is so changeable that ultra-stylish items bought last year will lose their relevance, and therefore it’s time to get acquainted with the new clothes and shoes that the 2019 fashion trends have prepared for us.

It should be immediately noted that this season every fashionista will be able to find something of her own, unique and unusual. After all, world designers have worked hard and presented us with many interesting trends. And to make it easier for you to deal with them, we have collected the best ideas in one article.

Fashion trends in clothing

In 2019, collections were presented on the catwalks, which simultaneously featured luxury, femininity, comfort, and even a certain futurism.

The first thing you notice is, of course, the fabric. This year, almost every stylist offers to get hold of something made from holographic fabric.

It will be especially relevant in the summer of 2019.

2019 fashion trends in outerwear advise you to pay attention to lightweight, but at the same time waterproof and very warm bombers and jackets.

And in order to feel not only stylish, but also cozy in cold weather, you should buy yourself thermal clothing made from metallized threads.

Modern clothing will mostly feature holography and textured textures. Ombre from rich pink to metallic, prints in the form of spilled liquid or melting metals will look interesting.

In the same season, images in the form of scales remain relevant.

For the warm season, designers offered a variety of capes, ponchos and cardigans made of iridescent and iridescent organza, which resembles the beautiful wings of butterflies and dragonflies.

For everyday looks, you can use a combination of fabrics and transparent elements, which can act as stripes on pants, hoods or vests.

What fabrics will be trendy in 2019?

When choosing clothes, you must first pay attention to its quality; it must be pleasant to the touch so that wearing it is a pleasure.

Important! Poor quality fabric can cause a variety of unpleasant sensations: from skin irritation to allergies.

This year, satin and silk are on the championship podium, so be sure to pay attention to blouses or dresses made from this material.

Such light and flowing fabrics are perfect for light and romantic summer dresses. Satin also goes well with lace and creates an incredibly elegant set. But it is better to buy trouser suits made from cotton viscose.

Knitwear remains as popular as last year. Particularly worth highlighting:

  • Dresses.
  • Turtlenecks.

  • Skirts.

These are great options that can become elements of a capsule wardrobe. After all, with their help you can create stylish outfits for every day without spending a lot of time and effort. By adding simple accessories you can get completely different looks.

The photo below shows several interesting and fashionable looks with knitwear.

Chiffon is not inferior to it either. He is still popular. This material is perfect for airy summer dresses and multi-tiered skirts.

Chiffon is also suitable for creating an office outfit. A simple chiffon shirt will look great with a classic pencil skirt.

They do not give up their positions and natural materials. For example, all office blouses will be made of natural cotton. This fabric is the basis of business style this year.

Fashion prints

This year is rich in a variety of prints and designs. True, it is worth noting that an enviable part of the world's fashion houses used stripes in all their diversity in their collections. You can also find outfits in animal print, checkered patterns, and floral patterns.

In addition, the following will be relevant:

  • Inscriptions made in black and white.
  • Flowers.
  • Rock theme.
  • The edging is in bright and rich colors.

To create a cheerful spring mood, you can use peas of different sizes.

In the winter season, stylists advise paying attention to the cage. It can be present on outerwear, sweaters, shirts and even trousers.

This season, special emphasis is placed on ethnic and national patterns, and therefore a thing with a similar print ismusthave 2019.

What color scheme should you pay attention to?

This year, bright, toxic colors have faded into the background. Nowadays, calmer, neutral shades are coming into fashion. But this does not mean that the outfit will be boring and gray. For those who like to stand out from the general background, designers suggest paying attention to the following colors:

  • Scarlet.
  • Burgundy.

  • Beetroot.
  • Chocolate.
  • Orange.

  • Coral.
  • All shades of green and blue.

White and black are timeless classics, and therefore they are always in trend. True, this year the masters of high fashion advise combining them with brighter colors and playing with contrasts.

Fashion trends in shoes

Finding a new pair of shoes that not only meets all fashion requirements, but also our preferences, is much more difficult than clothing. After all, much more demands are put forward to her. It should be wear-resistant, beautiful, universal in style and color.

And to make your long shopping trips a little easier in search of that very pair of shoes, we will look at the best ideas that 2019 fashion trends in shoes offer.

Option for brave girls

Trend No. 1 Eternal metallic

It was also relevant last year, and therefore, if you still have a pair of shoes or boots made of similar material, then do not rush to hide them. Indeed, this season he has gained even more popularity.

The Chanel fashion house offered modern fashionistas not only the color of silver, but also gold, which has recently been considered a little forgotten.

These shoes look interesting and truly luxurious. Especially in the autumn.

Metallic boots are in perfect harmony with a classic gray coat or suede raincoat.

The fashion house of Albert Ferretti offered a silver total look, but this is already an option for brave girls.

Trend No. 2 Eternal classics - leather and suede

For winter, it is better to give preference to proven materials. Especially if we take into account the fact that such shoes were present in the collections of all designers.

Don't buy black boots. Take a closer look at more interesting and bright colors. For example, the following will look good:

  • Cream shades.
  • Violet.

  • Smoky blue.
  • Brown and brick shades.

When choosing shoes, pay special attention to the heel; it should be comfortable and stable.

Plus, these shoes go with any outfit. An interesting tandem is achieved with suede boots and leather pants, as well as with blue jeans.

As you can see, the fashion trends of 2019 are very diverse and interesting (see photo). We hope that our review of stylish looks helped you decide on your future wardrobe. The main thing is, when choosing a stylish look, do not forget about your preferences.

A trouser suit in a solid color is the most stylish purchase of recent seasons. The loose cut expertly hides extra centimeters, and the color vertical lengthens the silhouette. Modern business women have declared such a set to be the No. 1 thing in a business wardrobe and even wear it with sneakers.

These spring summer 2019 fashion trends in clothing will appeal to many. In the coming year, you can see all imaginable styles and creative impulses: for some - flashy and sexy, for others - modest and subtly luxurious.
Many designers seemed to be openly struggling with the generally accepted role of women in the world, which was expressed in bright accents, both feminine and brutal. On one side of the scale the couturier put sensuality in the form of delicate dresses, while on the other - rough, sharp men's style, which encouraged the weaker sex to use their potential and expand the boundaries of what is possible.

Loose robes with long sleeves, in which the figure was lost, suggested that the designers deliberately hid their models from the harsh outside world. However, if you ignore this difficult philosophy and look at other items in the collections, you can enjoy the excellent images (photos) that brought a rebellious character and desire to escape reality into this year's trends. Let's dive into the maelstrom of upcoming trends in the fashion world and choose something for ourselves!
Fashion trends 2019:

Designers suggest meeting the onset of hot days in airy, light dresses with thin straps. No, these are not nightgowns at all (although, to be honest, no one knows the differences between them), but an independent trend for summer 2019. Such dress models will allow you to be sexy and not feel constricting discomfort and excessive frankness. In addition, in hot weather you are guaranteed to be cooler than those around you.
Lela Rose and Eckhaus Latta presented elongated styles of camisole dresses. But the model from Marco De Vincenzo, in an earthy green hue, was decorated with flat fringe at the bottom of the hem. Alexa Chung also showed guests tight camisole models of various lengths.
The Balenciaga collection showed a more conservative view of this kind of clothing: the simple and revealing style of the dresses was balanced by rather high, straight necklines. Finally, Gucci combined the two trends with a camisole dress made from snakeskin print fabric.

Lots of tulle and taffeta, not to mention the widespread use of pastel colors: “a la princess” dresses are firmly entrenched in the spring-summer 2019 trends, especially among evening wear.
An excellent example of the trend are dresses from Rodarte, made according to all the rules from lace and tulle, combined with more streamlined and multi-tiered complex styles.
The growing proportion of fairy dresses is truly impressive. This is especially true for collections from Marc Jacobs and Molly Goddart. Lace models from Preen and Christofer Kane added an intimate atmosphere to the show.

Laconic dresses with no frills in design, which emanated luxury and sophistication, combined with first-class tailoring from thick, quality materials in neutral shades, were a clear trend on the catwalks, particularly at New York Fashion Week.

These models were probably intended for a more mature audience, but to a certain extent they seemed to invite women to finally come out of the shadows to protect themselves from an aggressive political climate.

Thus, Tibi had simple and comfortable styles with collars and elbow-length sleeves, laconic white dresses from Proenza Schouler (pictured), dark models in light oversize from The Row. Emilia Wickstead presented sleek outfits in pastel tones.

For warm seasons, it is absolutely typical and natural for revealing clothing models to appear among the trends, which are shown almost every year. The upcoming one was no exception.
In its collection, Elie Saab presented many tight, light dresses and long negligees, some of which were made entirely of transparent fabric, while on others such material was present only as a daring accent. A playful effect was achieved by Rejina Pyo, who played on the contrast between bright transparent dresses and colored underwear.
But Naeem Khan and Oscar de la Renta sent their models onto the catwalk in completely transparent tops and without underwear. Some people think it's brave, others think it's a useless idea.

It is easier to list which shows did not feature lace models.

Lace is definitely one of the year's favorites, pairing closely with other ultra-feminine trends.

The runways featured everything from virginal looks from Sakai and Off-White to sexy designs from Marco De Vincenzo and Burberry. Alexander Wang used lace fabric in sportier versions, merging urban atmosphere and romance.

At its peak is the combination of knitted clothing, especially dresses, with knitted elements, which are not limited to sweaters.

A rare knitted mesh coupled with open parts of the body confidently consolidates this fashion trend among the fashion trends of the warm season 2019.

It was expected to see knitwear at the Missoni show, since it is the main material in the collections of this brand. However, crocheted and knitted outfits suddenly appeared from other designers. Thus, Sonia Rykiel presented sets of oversized sweaters and mesh skirts. Calvin Klein and Tory Burch had a lot of cozy pullover styles.
The layered dress from Chloe with a sparse knit looked simply amazing and set the mood for summer. Other designers who have used this trend include Ulla Johnson, Michael Kors and Oscar de la Renta.

80s nostalgia and a strong desire to stand out among the masses make metallic fabrics another trend for 2019.

A surprising number of models wore metallic tartans from Sally Lapointe, Vivien Hu and Marcel Ostertag.
Marc Jacobs (pictured) used shimmery, soft pink fabric to create romantic blouse designs. The metallic pink dress by Tadashi Shoji hugged her curves and added a seductive edge to her look. There were also brilliant models on the catwalks, for example in the shows of Ulla Johnson and Rodarte.

#8. Sequins

There was so much glitter on the catwalks that they can rightfully be singled out as a separate trend for spring-summer 2019, despite their combination with other shining elements. Dresses, skirts and bodysuits, decorated with all kinds of sequins, attracted admiring glances in Milan and London.
At the Temperley London show, models sparkled from the top of the catwalk in gold sequined dresses. Thick, shiny dresses were also found at David Koma, Christofer Kane, and Elie Saab presented a delightful tight-fitting evening model in black and turquoise gloss.
Gorgeous sparkly skirts that highlight the curves of the figure also enlivened the collections of Halpen, Roberta Einer and Markus Lupfern.

#9. Fringe

Decorating your outfit with fringe will add sensuality to your look as it sways in time with your steps as you move. And while some of the runway's fringed pieces referenced Western traditional design, others looked downright modern.
The most striking model was a flashy blue dress from Gucci (pictured), completely covered with fringe. R13 and Coach 1941 showed cowboy terry vests at their shows. But at Tom Ford, Aigner and Emporio Armani, fringe was part of complex evening fitted dresses, which gave additional texture and sway when walking.

#10. Glitter and Jewels

While sequins served as the main source of sparkle in the spring/summer 2019 collections, a lot of the sparkle came from the fabrics themselves, as well as precious jewelry.

At the Celine show, guests saw a very seductive collection of short shiny dresses in gold and silver.

Blumarine presented a layered model of a delicate lace dress with stunning gold embroidery. Philipp Plein displayed an unprecedented level of luxury as its models strutted down the runway in jewel-encrusted bodysuits. Some Marc Jacobs dresses were crafted from shimmering tulle, which contrasted harmoniously with oversized matte blazers.

#eleven. Bows at the waist

Complementing the list of feminine fashion trends for spring summer 2019 are bows, both large and small, although massiveness is, without a doubt, the leader of this season.
At the Richard Quinn show, large bows draped the shoulders of models wearing tutu dresses with large tulle skirts. Massive bows also adorned the collections of Celine and Dries Van Noten.
Smaller bows added a special touch to the colorful Emilua Wickstead and Valentino dresses. Other designers who have used this decorative element include names such as Erdem, Maison Margiela and Moschino.

#12. Trench coats

Trench coats are the main trend in outerwear for the spring 2019 season.

They will perfectly protect you from wind and rain, are relevant at all times and fit almost any look. Designers presented many models of various styles and colors.
At the Givenchy show, oversized trench coats were complemented by fanny packs, which are experiencing a fashion revival. To add airiness to the look, Roksanda and Erika Cavallini created their models in trendy pastel colors. And finally, the most traditional trench coats in brown shades appeared at the shows of Burberry, Haider Ackerman and Courreges.

#13. Polymer coats

If you're not a fan of traditional trench coats, rejoice, because "plastic" coats have also earned their place in the sun in 2019. The shows featured colorful raincoats from Rejina Pyo and sheer models from Fendi.
Many designers have taken care of bright colors that will allow you to feel warmth, comfort and joy, even if the spring rains try to break your inner world. Models from Adeam and Escada were long and in, while Kate Spade preferred. Plastic coats in darker versions were introduced by designers who usually choose a dark palette, such as Sies Marjan and Christian Cowan.

#14. Massive shoulders

Perhaps it's nostalgia for the 80s, or maybe it's a feminist response to female impotence, but many designers have turned to the past and created blouses and jackets with wide, massive shoulders.
Such a brutal element of the image flashed in the feminine collections of Preen, Emilia Wickstead and Erdem. Even Chanel introduced its signature tweed jackets in a wider version with massive shoulders. Push Button and Chalayan had formal jackets in gray shades, and Natasha Zinko chose fashionable pastel colors for similar models.

#15. Puffy sleeves

  • This wardrobe item is ideal for those who want to stand out without being too revealing.

Puffy elbow-length sleeves, suitable for warm daytime looks, were in the collections of Kate Spade and Rodarte. In the Erdem show, such sleeves became a great addition to conservative outfits in the style of the 19th century. The wide sleeves looked slightly dramatic on a simple Valentino dress (pictured), which was teamed with straw hat immersed in the village atmosphere.

#16. Punk

All designers touched on the 80s punk theme in one way or another, which fits perfectly with other trends for the spring/summer 2019 season. Fashion designers used this style in their collections, ranging from mohawks and dark colors to shirts with prints of their favorite musical groups.
The most punk show was Ashley Williams, whose models walked the runway in mohawks and bold mix looks with numerous vintage T-shirts and sweatshirts.
Gareth Pugh also released his models with outrageous hairstyles, brutal combat boots and clothes in black and red shades. The punk style was used in the collections of Matty Bovan, Burberry and Nicopanda.

#17. Mesh clothing

The mesh is one of those sexy trends that is characterized by originality and boldness of choice. Among the bright models of 2019 are mesh sheath dresses in incredible quantities, as well as fishnet tights as the center of the collection from MM6.
Designers such as Ermanno Scervino, Calcaterra and Dolce&Gabbana have used mesh fabric to create sexy black dresses, both made entirely from of this material, and having only accents.

The Akris collection showcased a new use of openwork mesh in the form of a long jacket with a collar. Other designers, such as Louis Vuitton, have also introduced lightweight, translucent sets.

#18. Boho grid

A separate version of the mesh fashion trend can be considered the boho style, which on the catwalks was characterized by larger mesh and muted shades creating a Bohemian effect. Many of the dresses and tops that were shown on the runways can be worn over swimwear, as well as for layering and adding interesting textures.

Mesh dresses were presented at all fashion weeks by such designers as Dolce&Gabbana, Area, Pyer Moss, Victoria Beckham and others. At the same time, Calvin Klein and Monse created mesh tops for men, and Aigner and Dior Ermanno Scervino offered women's options.

#19. Dress "fisherman's catch"

It's rare for something so specific to become a trend, but it looks like this particular dress is exactly what we'll be seeing on the beaches in large numbers next year.

The so-called “fisherman’s catch” is another type of mesh, which has a number of features that make it possible to distinguish it as a separate fashion trend.

Such dresses, in particular, were presented by Altuzarra, Salvatore Ferragamo, J.W. Anderson, Sonia Rykiel and Ports 1961. This seine-style design is characterized by a straight, fitted silhouette and a length below the knee, sometimes reaching to the ankle.
Often such dresses do not have sleeves. Their main feature is a mesh or fabric with large cells, in most cases transparent, with a long lower fringe that swings when moving.

#20. Meringue dress

Among the fashion trends of spring-summer 2019 there are fantastic models of tent dresses with frills and other decorations that do not focus on the volume of the item. Combined with other seasonal trends like pastel shades and feminine additions, these dress styles truly resemble a sweet meringue cake.
Marc Jacobs' versions were big and voluminous, with layered ruffles. The Molly Goddart model was smaller: the length of the dress ended near the knee line, and there were not such huge quantities of frills.
But the Erdem and Emilia Wickstead dresses looked just as large and even tent-like, but in calmer pastel colors. Carolina Herrera's silk version was more elegant and showed off the model's bare shoulders.

#21. Drapery

One of the most stunning trends of the 2019 warm season is draped silhouettes, which were observed on all types of dresses. Simple styles, decorated with scarves or huge draped pieces, wrapped or cinched, evoked a strong sense of the approaching summer.

These dresses are luxurious yet comfortable and can be worn in an everyday wardrobe or for special occasions if you add some jewellery.

Loewe's beach collection featured several dresses made from shawl fabric that fell in folds across the body, reminiscent of a vacation. Gvasalia took the idea of drapery seriously in his designs for Balenciaga. Thus, one of his most beautiful dresses was complemented by a single element, elegantly wrapped around the figures of the models.
Particularly original was the Marni drapery, modeled from a piece of fabric that flows from the hem of the skirt up into special cutouts on the shoulders. Etro and Erika Cavallini showed summer dresses with draping wrapped around the body, with a simple belt at the waist.

#22. Scarves instead of skirts

A large scarf is a versatile leisure accessory: it can be used as a picnic blanket or wrapped around the neck and waist as a pareo over a swimsuit. This is exactly the method that designers chose when working with scarves, which have become another fashion trend for spring/summer 2019.
At the Paco Rabanne show, scarves were decorated with small coins. Wrapped around the models' waists, they resembled the costumes of oriental dancers. Scarves were used in a similar way in the Chloe collection, although they were attached to belts and worn over light shorts and trousers. The Marni looks featured a combination of scarf skirts and matching tops that would look equally at home on the beach or at a daytime party.

#23. Bicycle shorts

Also called Bermuda shorts, these comfortable styles end above the knee and allow girls to avoid the heat without exposing too much. Designers unanimously included bicycle shorts in 2019 trends: some used them in sporty looks, others in suits to give a more sophisticated look.

“Velo shorts” from Prada and Dion Lee were made of thick trouser fabric and were used in elegant sets that were suitable even for the office. Chanel, Fendi and Maryam Nassir Zadeh presented form-fitting models that looked sporty, but were absolutely suitable for everyday looks.

Each x Other and Miu Miu paired bike shorts with miniskirts for cute, layered sporty looks. Among others who showed “Bermuda” shorts on the catwalks were such designers as Mugler, Zadig & Voltaire, Aalto and others.

#24. Suits with shorts

When you think about wearing shorts under a jacket, the image of a British schoolboy involuntarily comes to mind. However, it is precisely this trend of the 2019 summer season, when trousers in suits are replaced by shorts, that looks truly majestic, sophisticated and grown-up.
Similar images were used on the catwalks of Roberto Cavalli and Maryam Nassir Zadeh. Tibi's striped suit had a more bulky look due to the loose silhouette that was typical for this season's shows, while Elie Saab relied on sexuality, dressing its models in short shorts and jackets with provocative prints.

#25. Suits with prints

A woman in a quality pantsuit looks great. Fortunately, designers have offered many options, so models with prints (for example, checkered) have become a real spring 2019 trend.

The Veronica Beard suit looked sophisticated with its elegant cut and fall print. R13 presented their suits paired with edgy T-shirts and shoes. And finally, the Hellesy show showcased a collection for daytime looks, where models showed white suits with fine patterns and bows at the waist.

#26. Summer of love

In addition to the revived '80s trends, there were echoes of the bohemian '60s and early '70s on the runways. This vibe was reflected in the colorful patterns, including paisley, and the overall style and styles of the clothing.
Peter Pilotto's paisley suit in particular stood out, although the ubiquitous use of scarves, subtle prints and high waists brought an overall '70s vibe to the collection.
But a sleeveless dress from Isabel Marant, who also used paisley, complete with a short one, plunged the show guests into the late 60s, although this print constantly flashed on the catwalk in other outfits. The Saint Laurent collection brings together styles from different eras. The '60s were evident in the high-waisted trousers and childish flower headbands.
Cloe, Gucci and Marni also launched Summer of Love onto the catwalk.

#27. Cargo pants

There wasn't much urban street style on the 2019 runways, but one fashion trend that did break through was the cargo pants look. This model of pants made of durable fabric, hung with external pockets, was a great addition to the spring-summer 2019 trends.
Ralph Lauren and Prabal Gurung presented colored versions of the cargo, while Jonathan Simkhai, on the contrary, showed these trousers in white, complete with romantic tops. Black and white options from Dries Van Noten looked neat and very sophisticated, combined with elegant jackets and high heels. Sies Marjan, John Elliot and 3.1 Phillip Lim also presented cargo pants in their collections.

#28. Black suits

In Paris, designers were especially persistent in trying to give women some kind of power, so black suits were everywhere on the catwalks, often combined with brutal hairstyles and makeup. This 2019 trend seemed to have overt political overtones.
Celine's newest designer, Hedi Slimane, created unisex looks that included slim suits, but his message was more aimed at Gen Z. Others who showed ultra-thin, skinny styles included Akris, Alexander McQueen and Saint Laurent.
Oversized suits appear on the runways every season, but fashion trends for 2019 include versions from Haider Achermann, Maison Margiela and Yohji Yamamoto. Even Loewe's earth-toned collection also featured black suits.

#29. Worn denim

Denim is always in fashion, but among the trends for the 2019 summer season is denim.

It is common to see this fabric in a trouser version, however, on the catwalks there were many models of jackets, shirts, skirts and even dresses in this design.
Favorites among this 2019 trend are a set of loose and metallic corsets from Balmain, as well as a similar model of denim trousers combined with a fur jacket from Celine.
In the collections of designers there were many so-called “Canadian tuxedos”, that is, denim sets of trousers and a jacket, but in a more original and attractive design. Thus, Poiret skillfully combined the stylish style of the outfit with bright yellow boots. Bare denim was also used by Dior, Y/Project, Marques Almeida, Isabel Marant and others.

#thirty. Outfits made from denim patches

In addition to the “varenka,” 2019 trends also suggest wearing denim dresses and jackets in patchwork style, that is, made from denim patches of various shades. Among these models are a cowboy dress from Coach 1941, a kimono jacket from Missoni and a puffer jacket from Isabel Marant.

#31. T-shirts

T-shirt is the most easy way create a comfortable and fashionable casual look.

Many designers sent models wearing T-shirts onto the catwalk, marking another trend for the spring/summer 2019 season.

Therefore, you can safely follow their example and mix this item of clothing in a variety of sets.
At the Chloe show, band T-shirts were paired with gorgeous skirts and boho shorts. R13 created a 70s vibe with old school metal T-shirt kits. Paco Rabanne demonstrated the already mentioned t-shirt in tandem with a scarf skirt.

#32. Ruffled blouses

If you are a fan of a more conservative and romantic style “a la the end of the 19th century,” which is fully represented at the shows of the 2019 summer season, but at the same time, a dress is not your option, you should pay attention to ruffled blouses (pictured) . Coach 1941 paired these blouse designs with long skirts and modern jackets. And Zimmermann managed to achieve a slightly circus effect with a combination of a white ruffled blouse and a suit in a flashy red shade.

#33. Loose, high-waisted trousers

This is one of the comfortable yet professional fashion trends of 2019. The roomy, high-waisted trousers are definitely suitable for both street and office wear, as the fit style accentuates the waist, but at the same time allows you to breathe easy.
At the Givenchy show, such models were presented in plain colors and in combination with massive belts, blouses and even jackets tucked into them. Both men and women walked the catwalk in them, emphasizing the versatility of the item for both sexes.
But Louis Vuitton created its own versions of these trousers with more colors and bright prints. The trousers tapered at the ankles, creating a more streamlined look.

#34. Warrior princess image

On some catwalks, guests could observe a very interesting trend for the 2019 summer season - the warrior princess style. Tight braids, armor and leather: their combination looked both stunning and intimidating.
For Alexander McQueen, designer Sarah Burton dressed models in tough leather suits as well as simple dresses. rustic style in combination with leather blacksmith aprons. The look was completed with militant braids and pointed shoes that seemed like they could cause harm.
At the Balmain show, models wore shimmering metallic corsets paired with washed-out denim, resulting in the look of a modern warrior.

#35. Shell sleeves

Shell-shaped sleeves are a kind of subtype of massive sleeves and one of the most original and textured trends of the spring and summer 2019 season. They are large round silhouettes that create the visual effect of shells due to vertical pleating.
The resemblance to shells was most evident in the large white jacket worn by one of the Balmain models. The round shape of the sleeves was also present on the textured pink jacket from Issey Miyake.
White, pink and red tops and blouses from Valentino embodied airiness and romance with their sleeves. Similar models of voluminous sleeves and pleats were also demonstrated by Each x Other, Awake and Poiret.

#36. White overalls

If you are not a complete slob, then for a comfortable look you can choose completely white and be on trend in 2019. Some of the jumpsuits on the runway had long sleeves and looked like a work suit, albeit a very sexy one, reminiscent of the style of an Air Force pilot.

These models include jumpsuits with buttons from Giambattista, Stella McCartney and Emporio Armani.
Some options were decidedly feminine, with frills, bows and even glitter. Such stunning white models were shown by Delpozo, Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini and Ashish.

#37. Couture foil

It is unlikely that designers would use real foil to create their masterpieces, but it was present in full on the catwalks. Thus, 3.1 Phillip Lim and Custo Barcelona presented long metallic jackets, and Balmain, in turn, presented shorter models.
Candid foil outfits were presented by Milly and Area: silver bikini tops were successfully combined with shiny buttons. Also, fabrics imitating foil, complete with more traditional materials, were used in their collections by Proenza Schouler, Rodarte, Jill Stuart and others.

#38. Extra high leg cut

A high neckline along the hem of a dress or skirt always looks sexy and is a trend for the warm season of 2019. At the shows of Asai, Ashish and Jonathan Simkhai, sexy slits combined with luxurious and delicate styles of outfits evoked thoughts of languid idleness somewhere in the bedroom.

More conservative were slit dresses from Rosetta Getty and Hellesy, worn over other items of clothing and as if playing hide and seek with the audience.

#39. Cleavage

Perhaps the deep V-neck is the most seductive addition to the dress. In second place is the leg cut mentioned above. Neckline – great way expose the body even if you have small breasts.

This type of cut allows you to visually elongate your torso and narrow your figure.

At the Emilia Wickstead and Ashish shows, décolleté was present on loose-fitting summer dresses. Christopher Kane added this element to his little black dresses and more romantic styles. White suits from Victoria Beckham also revealed part of the torso through a deep V-shaped neckline.

#40. Spring butterflies

Are there things more reminiscent of spring than butterflies? Funny decorations in the form of these beautiful insects were added to some looks at the fashion shows of the spring-summer 2019 season.
Naeem Khan presented an excellent sleeveless top in the form of a colored butterfly, combining it with plain high-waist trousers. At the Jasmine and Zang Toi shows, butterflies adorned the shoulders of models dressed in feminine dresses.

#41. Mix of prints

This season is truly poor in prints, so in order to fit a large number of patterns into their collections, designers have not come up with anything better than combining them together in one outfit. Anna Sui, as always, was at her best, presenting smart combinations on the catwalk, which this season turned out to be sets of summer shorts and tops with different prints for the spring 2019 season.
In the Koche collection, prints were combined in one color scheme: for example, a dark blue jacket with white polka dots was worn over the same dark blue suit with a white pattern. Other successful examples of combining different prints were demonstrated by Atlein, Self-Portrait, Balmain and Tom Browne.

#42. Asymmetry on the shoulders

Over the past couple of years, bare-shoulder tops have been all the rage. However, in the warm season of 2019, large fashion brands have done away with symmetry and brought the so-called “cold shoulder” to the catwalks.
This trend was demonstrated in such upscale looks as floor-length dresses from Cushnie, as well as casual sets with blouses from Monse and short jumpsuits from Self-Portrait.

#43. A touch of feathers

Feathers, although quaint, still serve as a symbol of luxury, be it a boa around the neck or embellished on a jacket. So, Calvin Luo decorated one of his dresses with a writhing line of feathers that started from the shoulder and went to the very bottom of the dress.
The Blonds, MSGM Marc Jacobs found more radical uses for feathers, from neon feather balls to decorating oversized dresses with them. At the Gucci show, feathers flashed everywhere: on clothes, on accessories.

#44. Tea Length Dresses

Tea length - reaches the middle of the shin and requires professional tailoring, which can highlight the advantages of any type of figure. Designers accepted this challenge, and now tea-length dresses are a real fashion trend for the spring/summer 2019 season.
The collections of Peter Pilotto and Alexa Chung contained delicate and romantic mid-length dresses in a comfortable style, decorated with floral motifs. Narrower models were presented by Dior Dries and Van Noten.

#45. Pleated dresses and skirts

In addition to the shell sleeves, the catwalks were replete with dresses and, so we can happily note that this trend is back again for the summer season 2019.

Pleated fabric looks good on dresses and skirts, as it perfectly demonstrates the lightness and airiness of the fabric.

Some of the cutest looks with summer dresses in soft pink and lavender shades were demonstrated by Brandon Maxwell, Alberta Ferretti and Awake. Sophisticated white pleated dresses were presented by Tome, Gabriela Hearst and Valentino. Pleated skirts were predominantly midi-length, which were presented by Jil Sander, Givenchy, Calvin Klein and Frendi.

#46. Overalls

Overalls have long returned to the fashion world, and one of the variations of this stylish wardrobe item in 2019 is the overall model with long sleeves and trouser legs, originally used exclusively as protective work wear.

However, this season overalls burst into trends and became part of everyday looks.

A stunning look from Dries Van Noten was a jumpsuit, decorated with ceremonial fringe on the front, combined with high heels. At the Celine show, one of the models showed off a leather overall with the zipper unbuttoned to the middle of the chest, which created an undeniably sexy, but at the same time androgynous look.
Strict images with similar overalls showed Giambattista Valli, Jil Sander and Isabel Marant, while Hermes presented its versions of overalls in bright red and neon blue shades.

#47. Large patch pockets

Almost every item of clothing, from smart blazers to utilitarian pants, casual T-shirts and outerwear, was complemented on the runways with either a huge patch pocket or a mass of small pockets, the appearance of which resembled patchwork.

This trend in 2019 is also practical significance, since there is no need for a bag at all.

At the Y/Project show, pockets appeared as oversized additions on both legs of baggy pants, and in the Sacai collection they were strewn with stunning suits with vests. Marine Serre took it a step further and completely covered its maxi dress with pockets of varying sizes.
Ksenia Schnaider, Loewe, Off-White, Dries Van Noten and Atlein are just some of the fashion houses that have played on this trend in their collections.

#48. Fabric roses

If you don’t like decorations in the form of bows, then you might like another trend of the 2019 warm season - roses made of fabric, and it’s better if they are large. The bud clusters can add a welcome degree of retro effect to your cocktail look.
Marc Jacobs, a big fan of fabric flowers, used huge floral pieces in a variety of shades and styles to accentuate the waist or neck of models. Miu Miu also played with this trend by adding cream roses to mini and midi dresses.
Redemption took the little black dress to the next level by adding a huge fabric rose, while Ann Demeulemeester used a garden of them to add a feminine touch to rugged vests and dresses.

#49. Lush frills and ruffles

It won't be so easy to walk the streets dressed like a cake with many layers of ruffles and frills that will not leave you unnoticed by others. But what can you do if this is another trend of the 2019 warm season that will allow you to stand out in the crowd.

It's obvious that ruffles have taken over the catwalks, and it's amazing because they make looks so subtle.

Giambattista Valli is always expected to pamper viewers with incredible dresses and ruffled tops, and this season, as always, he did not disappoint. For the most daring, Marc Jacobs, Gucci, Preen and Molly Goddard offer the most “delicious” dresses, entirely consisting of flounces and frills.
Celine and Roberto Cavalli used these decorative elements more subtly, so every woman will choose the most suitable option for herself in the coming spring.

Thanks to Vogue for the photo.
